US LAWSHIELD

"The Use of Deadly Force"

On Tuesday, February 18, 2025, U.S.LawShield will be holding a seminar at the club from 6:30 PM to approximately 8:30 PM. This will be a repeat of "The Use of Deadly Force" . They are repeating this seminar for the benefit of those who wanted to attend previously but couldn't make it. All are welcome, including those who have attended this course in the past. This seminar will not appear in the newsletter due to timing but we will do an email blast when I get more details from U.S.LawShield. I'm just letting people know for advance planning purposes. If there is a pre-registration requirement, I will let everyone know but they did not have a pre-registration requirement with the last seminar they held at the club. So if interested, just show up. If you are planning to attend, please show up no later than 6:15 PM so they can start on time.

Thank you, stay safe, and stay educated.

Range Evaluation

A representative from the NRA Community Engagement Division recently conducted a Range Evaluation at HAA. The Range Technical Team’s purpose for the visit was to review the general condition of the existing range facilities. Overall, there were suggestions and opportunities to enhance our ranges, but no distinct shortcomings that needed to be addressed. A few of the comments from their assessment were:

"The request to have the Range Technical Team evaluate the facility without provocation is in itself a demonstration of thoughtful reflection."

"From the sign out front, to the condition of the ranges, there is great effort being made to provide a clean, well-maintained, shooting facility for use by the members.”

"Ranges are exceptionally clean and well maintained."

"HHAA leadership appears to be well informed, communicating their understanding that an essential component of operating a sound outdoor shooting range is the need to stay proactive in the management of environmental issues. Evidence of the HHAA’s desire to keep environmental responsibility at the forefront of the operation is seen in several of their actions."

HHA membership can take pride in your club and hold in high regard the volunteers who work tirelessly to maintain the grounds. You are all recognized for work well done because you deserve it!
